From Craigslist
I'm a 23 year old student who just graduated from the University of
California, Davis and I'm going to French speaking Africa in October as
an agricultural advisor for the Peace Corps. (I haven't been told which
country yet).
I'm looking for someone who speaks French to come to California over the
summer (maybe June to September) to hang out and speak French with so
that I'm prepared for Africa. I took French for 4 years in high school
so I have the basics down but I'm a little rusty.
I'm working on a houseboat to live on over the summer near my parents
house which is in the country near Yuba City (which is north of
Sacremento). I am very outdoor type person so I can promise a lot of
fun to someone who's into that sort of thing. I usually do a lot of
sailing, water skiing, biking, backpacking, etc over the summer. This
summer I'm planning on backpacking the Lost Coast in Humbolt County and
sailing on Tahoe for a couple weeks.
I would provide lodging (on the houseboat), food (my parents have a farm
nearby with a huge summer garden), transport, entertainment, etc.
